Porsche really made a mess of those US rear bumbers. In Europe our cars came this way as standard

I know.... it's a crying shame. It's too bad there isn't some way to get used ones over here economically. Most E.U. sellers won't even bother with shipping to U.S.

There was no modification necessary but getting the correct mounting irons and bolts. It fit like it was made for it. (which it was.) Thanks for the compliments on my white face gauges, I love them so much more than the old yeller ones. The work perfectly too odometer and all. Houston Rennlisters post and let me know your thoughts on my ride height.

Also I see the pic of the white turbo it has what looks like a wider moulding strip on the bumper. Are there two different ones? Mine seems way narrow by comparison.

Your exactly right, the NA 944's had a thinner molding piece while the turbo and S2 had a fatter one.

Deon who was the fellow who you bought the rear bumper off on eBay? I am going to be buying one also and would like to get a trust worthy guy to handle it. Ill also eventually be on the lookout for a euro front for my n/a.

I talked to one guy already and he quoted me about 50 pounds to ship to the US, roughly $80 American. The bumper was going for i beieve US $50. Also how lond did shipping take from over the pond?

The ebay source was "Chicobalony." It took a good while to get here but eventually did. Try to get irons to mount the bumper at the same time, that will save the time of finding them once you get a bumper.

The guy I got my euro bumper from in the UK sent it through DHL on a Wed. and it was at my house in the U.S. on Friday. The fastest shipping I have ever seen.

Nice! I was debating getting one before I deleted the bumper pads.

Nice Personal wheel by the way. You're the only other person I've seen with one on a 944 besides me

So what material are these euro N/A rear bumpers made from? Can the rubber strip be removed and the holes filled?

TIA

Fiberglass. The strips can be removed and the holes filled.

Sweet, got a used one on the way, I think I'll get rid of the strip & fill the holes. I like that "smooth" look!

Thanks for the info

great pics for comparison Greg Z! I personally like the US rear bumpers more, but i like the Euro front bumpers better. I know, I'm fickle.
