Default Smell after letting off full throttle in 5th, normal?

I just got a 86 Turbo so I do not know if this is normal. There is a slight burning smell after letting off the throttle in 5th gear.

AC on
Full throttle
Boost gage is at max for 5-20 seconds
as soon as I let off the throttle there is a burning smell for a second or two.

Is this normal?
