Can't hold idle when really hot.
Last couple of track days, I've noticed the following weird behavior. The condition was near the end of a long track day (2+ hours of driving) and hot (100+ heat) -- and I would have a tough time getting my engine to maintain idle. If I step on the gas, it'll run fine -- it just won't hold idle. The motor is 968 engine and I'm running 15w-50 oil.
What might be the cause of this? Should I be running different oil or something? And is it a potential problem?

Unless he's installed an aftermarket "sucking" pump and carburetor it's highly unlikely he has vapor lock.
Well Possibly he could be heating the fuel lines with an oxy acetylene setup, but that's unlikely.

Actions in order:
1. Check the TPS switch if it engages the idle contact, if OK then
2. Check the inlet rubber boot for leak, if OK then
3. Your engine needs adaptation. It could be done through diagnose scocket (You need KTS).
