"If you want to pop it up, you'll need to have a strap to hold it down, so it doesn't fly off."

I thought the same thing, but not true.

I've hit triple digits with no snap, and the sunroof on tilt and had no problmes.

Got to agree with Sid, the original "Convert or Die Guy". I've had mine past 140 mph without any issues at all. Sometimes on a really bumpy road one of them will pop out of the rain gutter but it's certainly not common. The original straps had 2 inches of slop and were to keep people from lifting up the sunroof up and breaking the front hinge mounts. I even went as far as putting in a manual sunroof panel and liner. Otherwise the latches don't center up on a electric liner real well. Best $10 investment I've ever made. Go Sid!

Interesting. I just imagined in a hard braking senario, I'd see the sunroof torpedo into the next car in front of me.

Well....since I copied you....I'll take your advice.
