Ok I am a bit confused which it is. I am talking about the part of the car where the door meets the quarter panel. Is this the A or the B pillar. Also if this is bent due to getting hit is repairable? at first i thought it was just the door and the rear quarter but upon further investigation i realized i couldnt open the passenger door and the A or B pillar is bent.
Thanks

Where the door actually closes that's the B pillar, A pillar is where the windshield is, some people might even say that the C pillar is where your 1/4 window meets the hatch.

The B pillar is where the vertical behind the door (the painted black one) meets the rear quater panel at the front and the C pillar is indeed the "semi" vertical portion that goes bend the quarter galss and is closest to the hatch.
Sedans usually have 4 pillars and SUV's 5 or 6. Just meerly points where the roof members meet the side frame. All engineering and platform speak, but relavent none the less.
