Typically, we get 6-8 runs.

That said, the PNC South lot is very small. The event will be capped at a lower number than when we run at Meadowlands. Earlier this year, I attended an AX with BMWCCA at that lot - expect a challenging and technical course due to the size limitation. The asphalt is in worse condition than at the Meadowlands, too.

Still, a bad day of AX is always better than a good day of work!

Oh, and harnesses won't bump you up a class per NNJR-PCA rulebook. Check with your region.

It's about 60 miles for me...alittle over an hour. But I really need the practice.

Plus if we're really lucky we'll get a total of 5 runs...and maybe that cool guy that likes tranny girls will be there again.
I second this. He will be year older, more mature and should be able to get up. I am steering clear of Tranny man though!

So what's the prognosis? Are you going to have seats or should I bring a milkcrate for you to bolt into your car this weekend?

I should have seats. Had one in but took it out. Should go back in easily today. Harness bar coming from UPS today (soon i hope) and also camera mount. I shold be all set. Not sure if I am going to install passenger seat yet. I want it to look complete but might consider exchanging the seats for cushier ones.

Ok - I'm scared. Can someone PM me the identity of this 'tranny man?'

Thanks,

I don't know if you care, but not having a passenger seat puts you into the Improved class...Z-man correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't think we actually know the name of Tranny Man....unless Dan remembers it.

Nope. Don't remember it. But we can talk about it sunday in person. I don't like typing behind someone's back. He might be here.

Seat almost in. Harness almost in. Harness almost in... I'm almost done.

Where should the buckle be and how tight should the sub belt be. I have mine pretty tight and am wondering what happens to the old boys in an accident? I don't need cameltoe.

Actually, running without a seat (even a passenger's seat) will put you into the "M1" Modified class, since it is considered to be 'lightening the vehicle.'

One seat done. What I have accomplished is making the inside of the car much more uncomfortable and much hotter. I can't wait for this warm sunday to be in the car with the helmet on. Shifting also hurts my you know what......a tad. I can imagine the feeling in a collision. it will take some getting used to but I do feel the advantages of being held into the seat.

Here are the before and after pics. (Thanks to all that helped)
One more thing. Where can I get the screws/bolts thatgo in the c-pillar. I can't seem to find them anywhere. The stock ones are plastic and I don't think that is a good idea to attach the narness bar with them.

You can temporarily use the bolts for the rear seatbelts. Otherwise you need a 7/16 thread. As a temporay solution you can get them from Home Depot, but they are **** grade 5 bolts. I would just take the bolts out for the rear seatbelts.. this way you have some good 8.8 hardware in there, i dont think your kids are going to be wanting to sit back there anymore anyhow!

Also think of the weight savings having removed those rear belts... 3-4lbs, every little bit helps!

looked all over. even went to a place called hypo-bolt. nobody has 7/16th thread. I re-used the ones from the seatbelts. I have the ones they gave me from the harnesses. I think they might be too long.

ordered camera mount yesterday from Stable Energies. Came today. They are quick.

any decision for sunday?

Yep, hex head. Grade 5 Fine, 7/16''x 1.25 is what i have a few of. Used them to get the Redline bar in my car when i bought it from John. Got good hardware from Cobalt who was generous to send me the right hardware. They come in individually wrapped baggies.

Still not sure about sunday. Ill let you know by friday night.

I don't know if i can use a hex head. The brey-krause bar has a tunnel that you have to put the bolt through
