Default Possibly Parting 944S

I may be parting a 944S in the near future.. but have a few questions first.

Here is the deal with the car:

130k miles
Valves Bent (heads off)

With the purchase of the car, it comes with a brand new head, that the PO was going to install but never got around to.

What is a brand new head worth?
Would it be better to sell the brand new head alone.. and the engine seperatly? or rebuild it then sell?
What is a 944S engine with bent valves worth?
What is a 944S tranny worth?

Pretty much, i just want to know the price market for the large parts off the car.. if anyone could give me a ballpark range, so i can decided if it is worth my time to purchase this car, and do all the work of taking it apart.

thanks,
keith

why not just take it to a shop and have them put the head on for you? Its a pain to part out a car, trust me.

also you should look at the pistons to make sure they are ok after hitting the valves.

About how hard is it to do an engine rebuild? I really dont need another car.. either way this is going to get sold.. running whole.. or parted.. im just trying to figure out which method will make the most money.

I have no room for another car to stay

I agree with Sharky47. You have the parts to get it running. Plus its an S , there are only so many of them left. I'd feel bad parting even a plain jane n/a let alone an S. I say try to save it for someone to enjoy.

the problem is that when he ruined the engine.. he let it sit for a few years.. outside.. so the body is beat.. i think the breaks are frozen.. and so on

yea, buy it and sell it for $100 more to a forum member. Depending on how nice it is, and how much you want for it, I'd be in line for it
