Anyone ever run Mines road in Livermore? That is one hell of a run.....could actually go all the way to the 152 if you wanted but it would definately need to cool down before attemting that.......I wouldnt mind a little coastal run.

Ooooh! The only problem i've had with driving (or my brother's driving) is going along a cliff. I almost lost it because of a huge pothole doing a left sweeper with the cliff to my right. Let's just say that I went 5mph below the speed limit after that.....

I'm up for almost anywhere so long as it doesn't involve (1) going across the %&(#*$@& bay bridge; or (2) getting stuck in traffic. I may be in a diff car for the next run.......

The Sierra Pass Fun Run will be the first week in October so that it doesn't conflict with the Duetches Motorfest event on September 23rd. Serge did you finish your belt job today? This heat wave is brutal.

You guys are cooking while I sit in breezy partly cloudy SF longing for more driving.
Man I didn't know what you guys were talking about when you said "heat wave", but believe it or not it has actually hit SF too. Yesterday we had triple-digit temps...
I'm up for a run to livermore, up/down the coast, and I love the half moon bay area. I prefer not to cross any bridges (espcially the GG) but it hasn't ever stopped me. Keith - yes that's my 944 on craigslist. Also, don't let distance stop you from making it to the run! The last one was up to the Sierra foothills, which was like 3 hours from SF. But there will be a Napa Valley run soon enough.

I just came back from Clear Lake today...that is a great route. But then again the Chrysler has functional AC and the 944 need two hundred in freon. Silverado trail would be a great drive just stay away from St. Helena on weekends. It was rated number 9 of the top 100 most congested streets last year.
A hwy 1 run would be enjoyable in this weather. Meet in Bodega and drive north up Jener (spelling?). Porsche North America films a lot of there commercials north of Bodega. Take a rest stop at my Beach house in Sea Ranch and then turn around and come back hwy 1 or turn on left on Stewart's Point Skaggs Springs Rd and take that all the way to Healdsburg and the 101.
Speaking of the beach house, we rent it out. It's booked for a while but in the next month or two business is going to get slow. It's really not much, just 1bed 1Bath but it's fun. Check it out here: http://www.searanchrentals.com/hfpgs/Reinbolt.html

The first is a photo that Porsche took a couple years ago on hwy 1. I remember driving by when they were setting everything up.
The second picture is a Sea Ranch beach. Sorry, it's a camera phone picture.

Keith - yup, the second pic on that thread from last year is my avatar. That was the first run I went on, and I it was phenomenal. We should definitely do it again. Not to steal someone else's work, but I still have the map from that run... but it sounds like you have a route already. Maybe we can whip up something new.
