Default Best sport seats

What are peoples favorite sport seats. Are after market any better than stock? I am looking for seats that are comfortable but are still sporty. I will not be doing much racing, so this is more of a street car. Which seat wiil best suit my wants? Price is also a consideration. Any one had any good or bad experiences?

I just picked up some Hunsaker Envy racing seats for my Jeep, they are a suspension seat and low priced, but very comfortable. They have another seat that is more appropriate for a 944, can't remember the name, but they sell them on Ebay (not the hard plastic Hunsakers). I found their seats are easy to mount, comfortable, and reasonably priced. You can call Ernie, a sales guy at Hunsaker and beat him up for an extra 20 off.

in general, I wouldn't be comfortable using a "cheap" seat, as I would question their ability to help keep you uninjured in a crash. I think for a street car the porsche sport seats that were optional on the 944s are ideal. Other than that, look at offerings from sparco or recaro.

My thoughts exactly as well. I've kinda been keeping an eye out for a set of sport seats, don't care what shape the coverin gis in, as I'd figure to have them recovered, perhaps black leather? Just that I've not seen any around very much. Must have been a very rare item, or did they come with the M030 package?

Well, if you have a grand to spend, techno duck is going to have his 951 sport seats for sale...

The design is quite nice and is still more aggressive than sport seats on most new porsche models.

I got a recaro SPG for 400 with mounts and rails. It was FIA expired, but its still a great seat.

if you all want cheaper name brand seats, hit up www.nasaforums.com or the scca forums for racers selling their old stuff. I mean the seats have a 5 year life span so they could be in great condition

Unfortunately I don't have a grand right now. If that's what used sports seats are running, I think that I'll just have to make due with what I've got now or look at other altternatives.

SPG's retail for 1175 for just the seat

there are plenty of people selling a set of sparcos for 500 + shipping...

just take a look, it may be worth your time.

They were a stand-alone option, at least back when our '85.5 was ordered.
If you want to try them out, we're having a TB party at our place on Saturday (7/22).

Lol, you all hijacked my post! Yea even before i typed this I wa mainly looking for OE sport seats and Sparco's. If things get to pricy i will probably only buy one seat for the driver. Anyone used a good Sparco seat?

Be careful -- I just got spanked over on the racing board for merely suggesting that.

Stock sport seats are rare, but not too hard to find if you look and are fast on the trigger. I've managed to get a 4-of-a-kind
