944Fest Tech reminder and minor problem
The deadline for 944fest track event tech form submission is rapidly approaching. BUT, the phone line we published is temporarily dead. The guys installing cable in to Winslow's house cut his phone line. He expects it back in service with a day. Please be patient, and then get those forms back in as soon as the phone number is back up.
I'll make another post when I hear it is working again.
Thanks for the patience!

Dan against my better judgement (which if its against my judgement, then its probally a good thing) I have to back out of the track run. I hope its not too late to do this. The car just leaks sinister oil and it wouldnt be safe having oel on the track. What if someone slipped on my oil and went barrling into a tree and destroyed their car and possibly loose their life because of my leaky oil. I cant have that **** on my conciouses .

Rock, I understand your concern. You may be overstating the hazard, but I'd recommend you let our tech guys be the judge. A few drips spread out around a 1.8 mile course is NOTHING. If you are puddling, you ain't going out. If you occasionally drip here and there you are probably OK. Think about it this way, if leaking a couple of drops of oil on a race track was super taboo, how the heck could all of those 911s be such great track cars?
I see the greater hazard as you rocketing around on the streets in the 951 with no high performance driving education whatsoever. What the heck is WInslow going to do with the shock collar if you back out?
Seriously, I appreciate your concern, and if you are leaking "sinister" oil, you WILL be benched. BUT-when you get a ride on track with some of the hot shoes, I promise you will regret missing the opportunity to try it yourself. No foul backing out now, what am I going to do, keep the money you haven't paid yet?

LOL! Ok well I think im going over to Xsboost's this weekend. Ill see if he cant take a look at it. Ive got a leak from my oil cooler that MUST be replaced. It needs a new crush washer.
If i let it sit over night, there will be a puddle in those 2 locations about 2 inches in diameter.

Shoot me an e-mail at 944fest (at) adelphia.net, we'll talk about getting you in. I've had a couple of cancelations and depending on your experience we might be able to work something out.

Dan, when is the last day for Tech Inspection faxes? I went to take my car in today and the it would not fire! Turns out after some hours of prodding around that it was the DME relay. The shop I take it to has been pretty busy lately so I hope I can still get it in this week.
TIA!
TIA!

Dan,
Shot you an email, hopefully to the right place. I can run in either group, am on streets , so will not be as fast as some of the advanced guys, but should be able to stay out of the way. Am familiar with the track having run it in a mini during the 05 OLOA.
