135ish mph is all your really gonna get

0-60...I'd say somewhere between 7.7 and 8.5

Don't you wish they were faster

My '86 hit an indicated 143 on a HUGE downhill, so probably 135ish.

Only 1 way to really tell. Take it to a track and find out. I made 136, and had pedal and 600 RPM to stock redline left.

i've topped out the 924S before, 135mph. i have also topped out the 944, 133ish. So i'm thinking 924 has way better aerodynamics, and mines an 88 so its got higher compression, i'm thinking 143. bets anyone?

also thats before nitrous...

My '87 944 topped out at about 140mph while on a long trip back home once.. the car pulls suprisingly well from 80-120..after 120 its a slow crawl. I still had some RPM to go also.

I also run slightly larger wheels, 225/50/16...so you need to take into account that.

924S is more aerodynamic that a 944. For a 944 to hit over 140, and still have a "stock" motor and appearance, it would have to be either an S, S2 or Turbo.

I believe the Cd of the 924S was .33 for the 944 a .34 or .35 Also, the 944, with its fender flares has a greater frontal area. All of which slow it down.

for the 2.7 car and driver stats 143 at 6400rpm, and i'm not sure if this is theoretical or not.

but when i talk about S i mean my 924S

According to Mapquest mileage on a timed trip I made, you would be correct. 136mph. We had difficulty calculating it, and came up with 140something IIRC.
