Oh I did get my key cut from the VIN and got the call in exactly one week. Too bad it won't work the ignition. Works ok in the doors so I guess it has had a new cylinder fitted at some point.

Woodie- that's odd- does your car have a factory alarm? Didn't they have seperate keys? Is it possible someone rekeyed the ignition to fit that for some reason....? Doesn't make a lot of sense, but you never know what might have happened to someone... I guess most people would be surprised to find that a PO had a young daughter who lost all of the original keys, so, I guess anything's possible...
