rims were hit with a clear coat, and are now finished.......



intake manifold in gloss black....



and lastly my calipers......

Jesse,

What has the downtime been on this? I was looking at a thread over on the 928 forums where the centers were painted to match the car and it looked great IMO. The only problem that I see is that to r/r tires at $50 each time puts ya at $400 just to pull them and put them back on.

down time? no down time.... i'm on phone dials right now. i just bought the rims, and had them done. brand new rubber will go on next week.

when i get off work, i will post a pic. he didn't do the inside. he just masked it off after he blasted it. their is a little overspray, but nothing really. it looks a helluva lot better than when it came off though. it had all kinds of flaking paint on the underside.

I will reserve final judgement till I see them on the car, but I am thinking that it would have looked better to have the red and black keep the rims curvature for the transition instead of this bulb effect at each spoke. But that is bold...

Body Colored wheels can look real good... it does depend on the overall look though, which each car seems to be different in.

jgporsche - must admit wheels are a bit "loud" for my taste, but certainly different and one-off.
