Default No Oil Pressure?

yesterday i got into the 924S started to go out of the driveway, saw that there was no oil pressure and that the oil light was on. i parked it and drove the 944 instead. now today i checked the oil, it was 1/4 to the min, so i add more to get it back up to max. i start it up let it idle for a minute or so. heres the thing, my oil pressure sensior or gaudge is f'ed up anyways cuz it only shows it on 5 bar if there is, and if there is no oil pressure its at 0. so it was sitting at 5 in the garage, i take it for a spin around the block and this time it goes straight to 0 bar, but now the oil light didn't come on. i'm leaving for work in about 10 mins, can anyone help out? or damn i'm gonna have to drive the 944. lol

Take the 944 until you figure this out.

You know that the level is good and it's not leaking?

Carb cleaner won't cause this. I'm guessing it's electrical and that the sender is bad or there is a poor/intermitent connection. Your oil level was actually low which probably cause the level light to come on but pressure dropping suddenly to 0 from 5 bar sounds like an electrical problem.

ok got into the car and started it up, and the gauge didn't go down nor oil light coming on, but the gauge usually goes down after a very short period of driving, say in 30 seconds of the car moving
