so i went on vaction and my car sat for 6 days. when i came back there was a puddle of water under the driver's side. it was water too, not green coolant? and wehn i started it smokes came out of the tail pipe. its was white smoke and it didnt smell like dirty oil. What went wrong now?
If its a head gasket how much will that cost me? and how urgent should it be fixed? i can it wait or will my whole car die if i dont fix it now?

well when you start it after it has been sitting for so long it's normal to have it smoke (steam), it's just condensation in your exhaust. If it still smokes when it is fully warmed up then it might be a headgasket or oil cooler.
check your oil and coolant. Is your engine oil clean, what about the coolant. Run the car and look under it for dripping coolant if you think you have a coolant leak. to make it easier to see, put a piece of carboard under the engine area and run the car and look for drips on the cardbooard.

yea, but that doesnt explain the puddle of water. there is a small amount of water under the car every night, but after 6 days it was a big puddle. What are some symptoms of a blown headgasket?

If you had a blown headgasket, your coolant level should be going down and you would be smelling coolant from the exhaust (sweet smell).
The AC system also creates condensation and causes water to gather -- have you been using it?
