Thanks guys!
Devon, it's an 86.
Ghost944, There is no such thing as a 944 turbo RS. But, I'm transforming the car into what I think the factory would have done if they did make one. In keeping with the RS theme, the car is lighterweight than stock... with a little more power, and a slighter better tuned suspension. Actually, it'll be really close to a 968 CS, but since my initials are RS (Rich Sandor) I decided to go with that instead.
The rear seat and side panel delete is done with lightweight, stretchable black felt trunk liner. I ordered it from an auto upholstery shop. It wasn't cheap.. I used about $300 worth of materials, but I still have enough left over to do the door panels and sunroof if I want to. I made templates out of linen sheets for everything BEFORE I cut the actual felt. Then, I just used 3M adhesive in a spray can to glue it all down. The secret is to glue one section at a time, wait for it to dry, and then use it as leverage to glue the next section.
I actually got the idea of using this felt stuff after driving the Molson Indy (champ car) Dodge Viper AC/R pace car. The whole intertior of that car is decked out in the same fashion.

Rich, where are you getting your exhuast done, I am thinking of a new one for my (new to me)951. If we get them done together maybe we could save some cash!!! Email me at pacwestperformance1@telus.net instead of the one you used that the PCA has on file........
Thanks, Jeff

Jeff, I'm getting Tommy @ Kintec Motorsports to do my exhaust. It will be a full 3" SS custom job with a 4 piece crossover pipe so that you can remove the oil pan / clutch without touching the top of the engine, and a flex pipe section, removeable cat, etc etc..
Tommy did Ian Manning's exhaust on his black 951. If you ever see it, you'll know what I mean when I say it's a work of art. Tommy is one of the best welders on the west coast.
