Default Need some spacers

Where can I get spacers in a hurry? I purchased some 993 wheels and I need some spacers to put them on the 951.

Try http://search.ebay.com/search/search...cer&category0= and the t 6061 aluminum spacers will work just fine.

Its a bad idea to cheap out on something such as that... I can see cheaping out on maybe a paint job or an exhaust but never something that is as important as what keeps you rolling ...and alive.

The same t 6061 aluminum is used for all camber plates (sold by most venders and used by racers) and early 944 factory spacers. I am not sure what you mean by cheap out...

Early offset in the 86 has 23.3mm offset while the late 944 offset is 52.3mm993 wheels are 55mm as far as I know. I am not sure how the offset spacing works (I would guess using a 28 mm spacer front and back since 52.3-23.3=29mm) but I have read 21mm front and 28mm rear spacers will work.

What size 993 wheels? I used to run 996 OEM 17x7 and 17x9 on my 1986 951 with 25mm spacers all the way around. My friend uses 32mm spacers (IIRC)with the same size wheels on his 1986 951. (Both using 225/45, 255/40 tires.) His are obviously spaced closer to the fenders which looks better. Either should work just fine. If you are using bolt on spacers you will not need longer studs. FWIW I have seen firsthand fitment issues with spacers off ebay and also have received pm's about them. Never seen or heard of an issue with the spacers better bodies or vertex sells. your results may vary of course, no affil - just a happy customer.
