TPS Wiring
I have an '87 944S. I removed my intake manifold to replace
my TPS. For those that don't know, on the S, the TPS is on the
bottom of the throttle assemble. Unreachable unless you
disassemble the entire car. The wiring coming out of the
plug to the TPS takes a 90 degree downward turn going
torward the DME. Age and heat has made the insulation
brittle and break. I cut away the rubber plug insulation and
found all 3 wires with broken insulation and exposed wire.
I'm going to splice in extra wire so this wont happen again.
There is not much wire to work with before it goes into the
plug. Can I solder these connections? Is that the best way?
I don't want to have to dig into this again once things are back together!
