This is a good topic, I've put this off partly from living in AZ and it really only rains in the monsoon season (then it really freakin rains...). My top seems to be aligned well so I think it's just the seal, and it only happens on driver's side. Any tricks on checking alignment and anyone know of a vendor for new seals (front and sides)?

I recently saw that Performance Products offered a replacement top for $700. Not bad but I have no idea on the quality.
AZ944- You can get the seals from Sunset, Performance Products as well as a few others. The problem is they are steep! Side pillar seals were $250 each the last time I checked. Two each side and you've spent a grand? No way!!!!

Just an aside, but there is a separate service manual for convertible top -- and it's not included in the regular set of service manuals. An electronic version is floating around as well -- it is missing a few pages, but the important things are there.

I've had my cab now going on 10 years and the top seals are mondo expensive. Especially the seal that goes from the back bottom of the window and meets with the back top of the top. This little rubber seal is $300......................EACH!!!!
I paid it becuase there is no other option.

$250 per, lovely....
Back on the primary subject though, the fact that the S2s were developed at the end of a long production I have not had issue one with mine in a little over 10K miles. It's the same great 944 with more power, better looks and greater dependability. I'm going to own at least one more (ultimate goal would be to turn my cab into the weekend/vacation vehicle and find a low mileage S2 for a daily driver.

If one were looking to buy a 968 and were trying decide to get a Cab or Coupe what would you think? I guess it wouuld really depend on person. A Cab could potentialy be more costly to maintain I suppose. I'm thinking a Cab as my last was a 944S and I'm in the southern states. How much different is the handling in the Cab and the road noise as comparer to the Coupe?
