I was reading through the Porsche manual and theres a page that says something about the ignition system. It says it could cause garage doors to open randomly. It says to test, put the front of the car close to the garage door and run the engine at different speeds. If the garage door opens, it may need to be recalibrated to a different frequency or some shat.

Does this mean if I go and run my engine in front of my sisters garage door I can go and get all of my stuff out of her house? Could I pull a turby and open the guy down the streets garage with the M3 and have some fun?

Or has garage door technology changed since 1986

Maybe on old *** garage doors. Newish (20 years?) ones that send codes, no... New ones that do frequency hopping, etc no way.

And this kind of issue wouldnt be specific to 944s, any car with a similar ignition system "could" do it.
