Default Feeler Post: FS..1986 944 Turbo

I am currently considering the option of letting my 1986 Porshce 944 Turbo go. Car Info:
-147,036 Miles
-Guards Red (New paint as of Nov. 2005)
-Black Interior
-5-Speed Manual
-All Records from 1986
-Complete Carfax report

Looking for around 12.5k OBO

Exterior:
9.8/10.0
The paint on the car was redone in Nov. 2005. It retained its original color, and looks very nice. Only thing wrong is that it has 2 small rock chips the size of a pebble on the front nose from following too close in a rainstorm.

Wheels:
9.8/10.0
The car comes with a set of (4) Cup II's with a turbo script center cap. All four wheels are completely straight, and in great condition. Although one of the wheels has a tad bit of Curb Rash, from a short corner.

Interior:
9.8/10.0
The interior looks almost impeccible, except for maybe 4 small beginning cracks on the dash vents because i havent gotten a new sunshade for summer, and small 1inch mark on driver seat from constant getting in and out, mind you this is not a rip, though it is a start. Comes with the original non-air bag steering wheel, Pioneer head unit, with two small amps and a crossover in the back hatch, tastefully installed, so that the car speakers give better sound quality, no subs or anything. The car also has the red turbo script floor mats, and the 944 door sills. The front and back seats are Porsche Script as well.

Modifications:
Engine:
*VDO 3-bar Fuel Pressure Regulator
*Huntley Stage 2 ball-bearing Turbo with a KKK hotside
*Vitesse Chips and AFM
*Test Pipe w/ cat-bypass
*Wide-fire Head gasket
*#55 Injectors
*Tial Dual-Port Wastegate
*Short **** Kit

Suspension:
*32mm Strut Brace over engine
*M030 sway bars front and back
*Koni Yellows all around
*Upgraded Coilovers and Camber plates (Just drawing a blank as to what)

Cosmetics:
*968 Door Handles
*Euro rear bumper
*Air Splitter (in the mail currently)
*968 Mirrors (Purchase Pending)

Recent Maintaince:
*Clutch (May 2005)
*Front Side Engine resealed (May 2005)
*Water Pump (Oct 2005)
*Paint (Nov 2005)
*Clutch Master/Slave Cyl. (Jan 2006)
*Timing Belt/Balance Shaft Belt Tensions/Rollers (June 2006)
*Oil Change (June 2006)
*Power Steering leak fixed (June 2006)
*Full Body Inspection (June 2006)

The only leak to come from this car is a small leak coming from the 2 O-Rings on the AOS. This problem was fixed by placing a make-shift vent through the oil cap allowing it to breathe, controlling the leak almost completely.

This 951 is truely a beast, it was used previously as a track car, pushing 304HP and 307TRQ max at 18PSI. The car now is a secondary driver, mostly on weekends, or when im looking for fun. It is now pushing 14PSI since I do not need that much force on the roads, and hasn't been mistreated a day of its life. It is very stunning to look at, and I get many compliments every time I go out. With all the engine/cosmetic mods that have been done to it, it surely doesn't look or act like any car from the 80's. With the suspension set the way it is, it is a low ride, but it hugs the road on every corner, making the hilly and curvy roads I have in my town a delight to drive on.

I am currently thinking of parting with my car, and am in no hurry to sell, because I haven't honestly decided whether i want to sell it or not. The car will be posted as a feeler thread here, and if I get enough responses, it will either be eaten up here or will be posted on the Classifieds for more people to see. I would like to see it go to a rennlister, because I know that this is a very loving enthusiasts home.

If anyone has any questions about the car, they can call me directly at (870)-897-9752. private message me on the boards, or if all else fails give me an email at George.Painter@smail.astate.edu Pics will be posted tomorrow morning when I can get a camera and take pictures of it. For now all you have to go on is my avatar.

This car came into my possession from a fellow rennlister so if anyone has any questions about it, I will do my best to answer them, or I am sure the previous owner here can back me up on how well it performs. Also the previous owner worked for the specialist shop that i currently get it serviced at in Little Rock, so all maintiance can be verified by a professional if need be.

Possibly looking for a 968, so if any are for sale let me know.
