Just replaced my pump with a new one, only to discover that the washers still do nothing and the old one works just fine when directly connected to the battery. Doh. This is the early pump that fits all cars through 1987. $10 includes (basically covers) the shipping anywhere in the US. Clean, looks good, works good, and comes in the VDO box that the new one came in. Just drop me a PM if interested -- I've got too much of this kind of stuff hanging around already.

i just put new lines on mine (after5 years of ownership with cracked then removed lines) thinking my pump was still good, but isnt working after the new lines and filled up the reservoir.

put me in line if you can, and all these guys back out or die.
