Default Recommendations for Bay Area Porsche 944 Mechanics

I live in Northern California in the S.F. Bay Area and I would like to know who are some of the trustworthy Porsche 944 mechanics. My current mechanic is not a Porsche specialist but knows how to work on it. He quoted me $700 to remove and install new torsion bars for my 1988 944. The price is reasonable but I am not sure if I trust him 100% with something that difficult.

I was considering S-Car-Go in Marin but not sure how much they will charge for just the torsion bars. I heard they will install a complete Spec944 race suspension for $1000.

I had a bad experience with Porboys in Oakland as they charged me $750 to diagnose and replace a oil pressure relief valve assembly with a used part.

How about Kahler in Dublin? Anywhere else?

Reitmeir's Werkstatt in Los Altos is one to check out as well. The owner Club Races a 951 so he/they know these cars really well.

Litespeed... drop by http://nasaforums.com and ask there. The nor-cal group is kicking off and they can probably help answer your questions.
