also would taking out the sun visor help too? i rarely use it. thanks for all the help

Yes, you can lower install racing seats very low. I have an Ultrashield seat mounted to a MoMo slider that gives lots of headroom. The seat is made of aluminum with a snap in liner with very minimal padding. My butt rides about an inch off the floor. I finally know how shorter people see the world out of a windshield. In every other car I have driven, (that I can fit in.) the rearview mirror obstructs my view of vehicles infront of me to the right. Infact, I almost had an incident in my wife's car a few days ago, where I never saw the Buick merging into my lane from an onramp until they almost hit me. Scared the crap outta me.
