Default Driver side window...

Will not roll up! I put it down for a DE and now it does not even make a noise or an attempt to move. Passenger side works great. It tends to do this when it is wet. So I thought I would let it dry out...but nothin'

I have yet to try and take it apart (I assume this is straight forward) . I thought that you guys & gals might help me to stream line my approach. '87 944S by the way.

I would guess either teh connection at the motor (which you take the interior panel off and it is pretty close to the 4x6 speaker hole) is corroded, or the motor itself is dead... take off the plug where I just mentioned, and hook a battery directly up to the two poles. pos and neg. then try it the opposite orientation, thats how you make the motor go different ways.

if the motors dead probably time for an ebay replacement or new.

Sounds like you need to remove, clean and reassemble the switch? That's what I'd do on an early car... how are the new switches?

Probably just need to take the switch out, pop it open, and clean the contacts inside the switch. Dirt and grime builds up on the contact points and cant complete the circuit.
