Default Make door shut easier?

From the day I purchased my car the passenger door has always been a chore to shut. The first foot or so is easy, then it gets very difficult closing it the rest of the way. I'm assuming it is something relatively easy to fix, I just have no clue what it is or how ot go about fixing it.

my passenger door too. I think it's just the door stop is sticky. I'm not sure if is an oiling issue or just the tightness of the unit. If you want to check it out, its held in with star bolds (maybe serrated, i forget) in the door jamb between teh two hinges. You have to take the door half out from inside the door I think so you need to remove the door panel.

I use PB blaster followed by white lithium grease in the spray can on the door stop piece(top and bottom)...it reallys helped that spot that used to bind up.

Just white lithium up the black swing arrestor arm(top and bottom). Life will be amazingly easier after that.

IIRC it's not a Torx, it's a triple-square bit (aka "cheesehead") - same style (though I think smaller size) as the CV bolts.

Yeah, the door straps do get stiff. I've used silver antisieze on them, but it doesn't seem to stay put. Last thing I used was CRC brand spray white lithium grease, excellent stuff for all those hinges, and we'll see how that holds up...

I've got the same problem with the passanger door. I like it though. When one of my american made only single track minded friends gets a ride, They usually can't shut the door on the 1st try and I get to call them a Sally.

me as well- my pass door is hard to close untill it about 3/4 of the way and then BAM! is slams shut, and unless u got a gorilla grip, ur not getting in my car from the pass side. Also my driver side door wont stay open either. Just figured out the arm that goes inside of the door isnt connected.
gotta be a porsche thing??

It's true- these are NOT star ot Torx, etc... they are cheeseheads... Do any local places sell the cheesehead's or do they have to normally be ordered...? Where is a good place to look in most cities...?
