Thumbs up

if we plan for something inland say orlando area, with some help i can work on that!. if we go coastal, someone else will have to handle that.
also anyone with the PCA may want to see if we can get some sponsoring to have an AutoX at the same weekend.
let's keep those ideas flowing

BTW. lt reid....where in ga?

The couple who run the PCA autocross are snowbirds and go back up north for the summer. Martin Sports Car Club http://www.martinsportscarclub.com/ will let us run in our own class if we have at least 3 entries and let them know we're coming in advance. Their next events are Saturday 7/8 and Sunday 8/13.

Pete, were you at that last AutoX? -If so, are they all THAT much fun? -I was there at the last one (the week after the Mount Dora autoX) and the course was way fun... a lot nicer than a parking lot full of cones, if you ask me.. -I had an absolute BLAST!!!

I was the first-timer in the white 951.

That was a Mini-Prix they do them twice a year. Spring and Fall. The rest of the time it's a parking lot full of cones. I wasn't at the last one. I'm working a full time job and trying to get a small business off the ground. Doesn't leave me with alot of free time. I made the first PCA autocross but that's about it so far this year. I was the Martin Club and SCCA E-Stock champ in '04 in a Miata but haven't been doing much racing or autocross the last year or so.

I could be up for an appearance but I would probably be driving the S2000. Let me know when things come together.

When you guys decide on a time/place would you mind if a non-944/951 attended?

Pete, He went to the last PCA event, which was at the LCTC, and they used the road course rather than the lot.

Keith, Having not attended any PCA autox events there (yet), I am only guessing here, that they are usually that fun. When you have less than 30 cars/drives you can get in many more runs. And the road course is a lot of fun, especially if you are not used to navigating cones on a typical autocross course. However a well designed, autox course on the lot can be equally as exciting, and again with a small number of participants you can always get in a lot of runs.

...as long as I don't have to wave to him...!

LCTC = Lake County Technical Center IIRC.

If by dark side you mean not what some consider a proper Porsche, then (if I am not mistaken) I am already part of that allegiance by virtue of owning a Boxster.
