Post Compressor Connection

I just purchased a rebuilt Compressor for my 944 s2. I connected everything except the electrical connection. The wires that comes out of the compressor is to small and not long enough to reach the connection point. I had a look at the old compressor and there seems to be two wire connected together connected at the end with a fitting that fits into the proper slot. How do i go about making a longer wire to connect it. Can i just cut it AND RE-USE IT?

You should be able to hard-wire it no problem. It's just a 12v source to
engage the compressor clutch. I would crimp on a male/female plug type
connector to make removal easier.
