I think we mid-easterners can handle heat well. I freakin' hate the 65 degree average temps of SF (well OK, it is pretty nice sometimes). I can't wait for the daily scorcher of socal.
I'll have 2 radios, I'll give one to Joel and Andrew in the 850i, and my bro will hold the other. May I suggest we all use channel 9-24, in honor of the car which preceded our beloved 944s and 968s.
About the 911 slantnose....
I think they look kinda cool, but aside from the fact that they're rare, I don't think they're any cooler than a regular 911. I think it's the result of trying to make a 911 look like a 944

hmmmmmmm......could be the reason I like the slant nose so much. But I do like the idea of exclusivity.........I dont want something everybody else has or is "a dime a dozen".........

I will not come up by myself in my own car. I solved the timing issues, but I don't feel like it is reliable after 2 weeks in the driveway. The car (for future reference) is an '85 VW GTI.
I'm still debating whether I should come up with Arash or not in the first place. I would love to go, but on the other hand, i'll be missing out some nice views. I would ask Arash to take pics and all, but I think the only good shot he'll get off would be when he's about to hit a tree
. The only thing that might hold me back still is if my car needs tending to, as the run would take away potential time to get my car FULLY road worthy once again.
