Default Rent A 944 Racer?

By July 15th, I'll have three SCCA/NASA-spec 944s ready to race, for Northern, Southern CA track events. If you ever wanted to time-trial your favorite track, or simply wanted to learn how to race, DE, or whatever...this is your start! Rennlist members can rent a race-prepared Porsche 944 for $500 an entire weekend! PM me for more information, and details, if interested.

Just might take you up on this some day... my spec 944 build is in progress, but it's not like we have any races up here yet... would be fun to head down to SoCal and run with Timmay and the boys a few times... at least get down there and pick some brains.

That's actually a really neat idea - and you price is more than reasonable - I wish you good luck!

all you need to do is drive a 944 spec car and you will be hooked. I know many 944 spec guys who started with a ride or a drive in one. Then then next thing you know they need one for themselves.

Zach,

Good luck on your venture. If these are race-prepped 944's the price is very reasonable.
NorCal 944spec will be practicing June 28th & July 21st at Thunderhill for the August 12-13th race.
We welcome any 944's that like to come out and do a track day with us.
NASA Norcal schedule

Eric S., Thunderhill is not too bad of a drive from Oregon.

Ditto what Joe P. said!

Great idea, Zach! I was potentially looking at missing a couple of track days due to mechanical issues -- I was even contemplating having a 'back up track toy' around for such purposes, but a rental would be perfect!

BTW, how would you deal with track damage issues?

I'm signed up for June 28th -- but I'm still learning to drive. Look for me in a blue 944 (or a white S2, if the 944 isn't ready). PS: I might come around asking for a ride.

Joe,

We'll look for you on the 28th.
I don't have a passenger seat but we'll get you a ride in a car that does.

Are there any events the weekend of October 14-15? I could maybe make my trip to Northern California a bit longer.

Not quite NorCal, but there is a NASA event at Buttonwillow which is 3.5 hours away: NASA Socal Calendar. SoCal 944-spec guys are supposed to be there. I may sign up for DE (must have more track time! )

Kurt if you are looking for a rental drop by the nasaforums as well.

http://nasaforums.com then check out the 944 spec section. We can probably find rental for Oct at Buttonwillow.

Also consider there are the start of 944 spec group running in th mid-west NASA region. Right now there are just a few folks looking buildin cars.

I am not sure how close their races are for you, but something consider.

Default Sorry!

..Been busy lately. Currently, I have only ONE available, which is getting a new roll cage, as we speak. I am hoping to ready it for Thunderhill, by that date. The cost structure is as follows below:

Porsche 944 Track Rental:
-NASA 944-spec car
-$500/Weekend;$500/returnable deposit
-Renter pays wear/tear on tires
-Rental options include:
a)Helmets. $30/day
b)Track-time DVD. $150
-Sign Release-of-Liability Waiver
