Default The top Bellhousing bolt

Any suggestions? I'm down to this last bolt and it's time to get into the clutch.

Perhaps it's just because I'm tired but I've run out of inventiveness on this one. I guess I can use a breaker bar but if I slip there's stuff in the way up top that I'd rather not break.

I know, don't slip.

TIA

You are talking the one towards the brake booster, or the one on the passenger side?

For the one near the brake booster, I have always used about 18" of extensions, a universal joint, and a breaker bar. Not pretty, but it works.

I am with Doc on that bolt! For the bolt underneath the heater control valve and by the ground strap bolt I can get either with a 19mm wrench, or a short 1/2" breaker bar with socket. I get the 3 lower bolts from underneath the car but that top bolt by the heater valve I get from engine compartment.

Your almost there man!!
The bellhousing might be a bear to wiggle down and around the driveshaft splines.

Yup, that's the one. I was having a problem getting good leverage with the universal (and getting it to stay in place). It was the last thing at the end of most of the day spent working on the car. I'm sure it will come off nicely manana.

Thanks a ton!

U joint, long extension, and a good 1/2 inch impact will have that thing out in 15 seconds.
