haha you guys are a trip.

I bought it at a sheriffs auction. The sheriff didnt have the keys because the car was picked up on theside of the road, thus me having to start it with a screwdriver. I think I found the original owner before the car was picked up by the tow yard.

Make sence??

Since the previous owner had the car taken away by the police...getting 4 new cylinders sounds like a better idea to me!

In that situation, i might not only want a new lock set...but a new paint job, wheels, and slip cover for the vin til the previous owner stops huntin' down the lucky dude who snatched his car in auction.

I don't know man. This still sounds sketchy.

And even if it happened the way you said it, there's probably a reason it was left on the road in the first place....

IIRC, Turby was from New Hampshire -- he only visited NJ to steal cars.

well, im not here to argue my side of the story, but consider, would I put my life on the line to steal a Porsche 944? haha doubt it.

And consider the following: I already have 3 other cars as well
My turboed Mustang Notch:

My TA WS6

And my little Honda CRX daily

and now my little Porsche

Regardless, Im here just for help...not really crazy about being called a theif. Hope you guys dont treat all newcomers this way.

I wouldnt take it too harshly.. A lot of us get a little paranoid when we see a new member (low post count) with a "locked my keys in the car, how do I get in" thread as well.

Welcome to Rennlist. Get the car retitled asap, and get ALL new locks and keyset. THE PO may have a title for YOUR CAR let alone the keys!!

Best of luck!

Welcome to the Forum, werd - it really is a nice place once the paranoid natives get to smell you. Then we're very helpful to our brethren.

There's been a rash of stolen 944s, which is not something to be taken lightly. When you invest too much of your blood, sweat, tears, and money into a quite rewarding machine it really hurts when it's torn from you by some lowlife.

Nice little collection spanning several automakers - I'll bet that turbo-stang is fairly quick in a straight line.

Let us know if you get the key!

on topic now- congrats on the 944. seems like a far departure from a turbo 5.0 and a WS6........

Yeah! This is getting more enjoyable by the reply!

You better go through that car with a fine-toothed comb werd... next thing you will find is a dime bag under the seat or some outlandish crap like that.

I hope you got the car for a steal, ahem.
