A few things are "Out of place" it seems

If they are lowering springs, then that may be the oringinal problem. Raise the car of the ground and they can pop out of place. You can tell, by how hard they are to get back into place.

My 400# coil overs have about 2" of gap when the car is raised off the ground. They usually manage to find "home" though.

It's really not too dificult even if you have to use a spring compressor. Harbor Freight even sells one for less then $20. but, I would try to rent/borrow one first.

So, I'll ask the question everyone wants to know. Do you still have the checked seats?

When I raise my car with the lowering springs, they always move over. I can usually push them back over while the car is being lowered. I use a stick to do it, don't want to smash the ole fingers to shreads!!! It is possible, that the sway bar popped out when you jacked it up also with the lowering springs.

Thank you for your help, I got a handle on the whole thing last night. Im just going to have to be careful when im lowering the car down from now on.

Yah thats why you can buy "helper" springs that keep lowering springs in compresion when the suspension is at is full travel, i've never seen a sway bar just fall out like that tho.
