He's real close to you, too! Tell Carl that Ed sent ya'.
I was just about to post Carl's shop. Yes, he's good. Very nice guy well run shop. He supports our local chapter of the Audi Club with lift sessions at his place. While in some cases he's not the cheapest guy around, there are other shops very close to him that are much more. I watched him do an alignment on my 944 and he pays very close attention to detail. Other people I've sent to him have been happy with his work as well.

*sorry to hijack this thread to AC*

Anybody have their AC recharged at Ed's recommended "Auto Shop" ?

And are we wrenching this Saturday? Looks like the weather may not cooperate for a GTG... (rain)

Oh, and any pros and cons at getting the 944 AC recharged at a "regular" garage vs. a Porsche mechanic?

Or is it pretty straightforward?

I think I bought my car from one of the mechanics at that shop, Donny something?

So I had my AC fixed last year at a local shop my girlfriend and her sister have gone to for years. It was good last year but it all leaked out again. The guys were good and tried to fix it under warrenty, but found that my evaporator is what leaks now. Apparently that is a 15 hour job involving taking the whole dash out to get at. Their suggestion was to go to intersport or another porsche specific place. I guess the moral of the story is go to a porsche place or do it yourself and have someone else fill it?

As for this weekend, I'd love to go, but I'm going to be in Baltimore.
