$37-$55, double check your car, i just clicked on the 82-89 doesn't include 924s, 944s, or 944S2, also turbo may be differnet. BTW you don't need those super thick ones, but you can get them.
Apex is a forum sponser and alot of people have bought from them, i have purchased a set for every car in my sig!

Thats where i purchased mine, someone referred me to them when i was looking a long time ago.

I had a similar problem with the Magnacores that came on the turbo. The plug ends didn't seem to snap all the way down on NGK plugs and the coil wire at the distributor always seemed to not seat correctly. I picked up a set if Beru's and noticed they are easier to remove and they keep water out of the plug holes very well when I clean the motor. The Magnacores never sealed well at the boot and I had to blow debris out befiore pulling a plug. I gave them away. YMMV

I have had magnecor 8.5mm wires for the last few years, they excel at getting the electricity from the plugs to the cylinders. And also yes they are red, which match red vacuum lines very nicely. I seem to remember paying way way more than 53 for them years ago. Get em!

For the record i bought them through ApexPerformance also. They were drop-shipped from Magnecor directly to me.

Anyhow the fitment of the boots in the spark plug holes was acceptable, but still did not have that solid 'connected' feeling when snapping onto the top of my NGK plugs as-well. The distributor cap issue really does not concern me to much anymore, but i felt it was worth bringing up.

I need a set, any reason to get 7.0 mm, 8.0mm, or 8.5mm?

I just picked up a set from apexperformance and have the same complaints about the boots. In fact I posted about them yesterday here:

https://rennlist.com/forums/924-931-944-951-968-forum/283188-don-t-buy-generic-magnecor-wires-without-the-beru-plugs.html

The wires themselves seem great, and they did come with a paper saying that the wires won't wear out, but the boots might need to be replaced when they wear out. I'm tempted to see if I can pick up some beru boots to splice onto the wires.

For OEM wires, the cheapest I've found are here for $88

I checked out the link and was amazed at the low price for a rebuilt Bosch starter...$133 + free shipping. Thanks for the new source of electrical parts. I paid $187 for my last starter!

Just a note, i put di-electric grease on all of the parts that the boots contact either the engine block or the distributor cap.. i hope this prevents any problems with the boots tearing or breaking.

There are som many different opinions on ignition wires so I just added these to an order I placed with LR.

Those look like they know what they are doing. Heat shielding, good core wire, and Beru boots. Thanks for the heads up, it's well worth it to me to pay more for a well designed set.

I installed these from Lindsey too, fit great, no issues - damn good purchase and with new MSD Blaster coil, dist cap, rotor and plugs they really light my fire, so to speak. (complete tuneup kit was about $195 and the $30 vacuum line kit is worth it too, 22 yr old vac lines tend to be rather brittle)
