Question Reference Sensor/Bracket removal

Hello, I own a 1987 924S and I am in the process of replacing the clutch. When i got to removing the reference sensors, one of them just will not come out. No matter how much i pry and prod at it. After prying for a couple of days the sensor finally cracked. If i remove the sensor mounting bracket will i be able to just pull the bracket out of the housing? I believe this is preventing me from lowering the clutch housing off the car. Also do i need to remove the clutch fork shaft before removing the clutch housing or can i just pull off the housing with that shaft installed? Any help will be greately appreciated!!!!

you have to pull the shaft before you can get the housing off cause the clutch fork will hold on the throwout bearing

The bracket is hard to remove with the sensor stuck down in the bell housing because of the alinement pin that is around the bracket bolt. Becareful not to break the bracket or you will really be screwed. (ask me how I know)
