As for the stainless steel rummers. I asked a ebay seller whos car had them. He said to check ebay every once and a while and email germandismantlers.

Yes, I think that's what I'm going to have to do. I still need to find the other SS pieces as those are the ones that are really needed... anyone...?

yes, it was Eric Sandoval's, only I didn't know it was his "old" car. what's he driving now...???

Cruising the boards I find this thread... That was from my first Porsche also 5 P-cars ago lol...

I hand laid the CF door sills that is a Vinyl decal beneath the resin. The scuff plates are OEM they show up on Ebay from time to time. That is where I found my set. They were a Tequipment 944 part. There are a couple of 968 guys that have them. I agree the plastic scuff plates are POS. They split, crack, scratch, etc. If you can find the needle in the haystack pick them up! I have seen a few sets on ebay over the years ranging from $100-$300. Keep your eyes peeled.

What am I driving now...

Eric- wow... glad you chimed in here.... I can't believe you got rid of that amazing car! Of course, you went the right direction though... BTW- what does X50 mean? Also, what is the exact HP/TQ rating of it...? Have you driven any 993TT's to compare it too? I've always liked 993's a hair better from a styling standpoint, but I've often wondered if the 996TT was a better overall handling car than the 993TT...? I've been in a 997 Carrera S several times & it was amazing, but never been for a ride in a 993 or 996...

Anyway, when you say "Scuff plates" you are referring to the SS looking pieces that cover the edge of the carpet where it comes up to the edge, etc & the plastic piece overlaps- I'm 99.99% sure you're talking about this since you say the stock pieces are cheap & break easily- this would be true- I'm just surpised they are that pricey...? There are some SS looking flat panels to replace the CF ones you did that are relatively cheap- I'm going to order those,, but any more info, from anyone, on the other's, please let me know b/c Im really hoping to find something similar...

BTW Eric- you have PM....

thanks a lot-
Robby

Eric Sandoval (the owner of the car in those pics) just chimed in here... He said they're 944 tequipment parts(?). I'm dying to find these- if you find them somewhere, please let me know & I'll do the saame for you.... I've even considered trying to find someone to make them for me but the fit is crucial b/c they actually sort of squeeze onto the edge there.... Any ideas on where to look or how to make some would be greatly appreciated...

thanks

Im not affiliated with the ebay seller but ive bought two sets of door sills from him and they are great. He ships quickly and they hold up really well.

These are no longer made. You will have to buy them off someone that no longer wants them. They fit over the black POS plastic ones in the car. IF you do find a set, be prepared to pay $250-$500 for them.
