Default Parking brake allows backwards roll

For awhile now my parking brake has been acting strangely. It will grab and hold well if the car is trying to roll forward, but have virtually no resistance to rearward rolling motion. Today my car started rolling towards traffic when I was 50ft away. I need to take care of it.

Has anyone experienced this before, and if so please share what the solution was? I haven't dug into it yet, doing research right now.

My 84' NA does the exact same thing, it should just need an adjustment unless you have been doing handbrake stops on the highway
Here is a link to the adjustment procedure...I have to do the same!

Hope this helps

Your pads need to be adjusted out. The other day I backed up my Jeep, no problem. I tried to go forward and killed the Jeep. Parking brake was on.
