The headers come off with the head. Eyal, ive heard that before and it seems like it works for 50% of the people. Some people say its not true. In my case, it wasnt possible. Anybody know why?

You have to disconnect it from the crossover and then loosen the nuts where the header is attached to the head so you can move it a little.

Yeah im in this club too

I threaded every fu*king bolt into the cam tower, and THEN realized that i was missing a bolt, i THEN remembered that i dropped it in the cam tower when i was taking it off and never remembered to take it off. How bad is that.

All in all the head gasket was really not a big deal, but the headers are a complete pain in the ***. I choose too disconnect the headers from the head and just pull them back as far as possible and fanagle the head out like that. It just looks hard to get to the downpipe bolts

if I were doing a head gasket I would consider if funds permit to coat the coolant pipe above the exhaust manifold with a heat rejection coating
