Default What do the OEM Stone Guards look like?

I just bought a set of what I thought were OEM stone guards from a reputable parts place. They are really thin clear 3M decals.

Now my car is white and has the color keyed white stone guards. I knew these were going to be clear, but I didn't know they would be so thin. My originals are really thick.

Are the OEM clears really that thin?

The original OEM stone guards are thick, even the clear ones. The 3M stone guards are aftermarket but still very good. You can get them in various thicknesses. The thinner they are the more they disappear on your car.

Can you get them in black like on 911s? I have been looking for these recently as the paint on(or is it under) is all cracked.

Or, does anyone know a source for bulk material so I could cut my own and probably save a ton?

If youwant good stone guards I have the place...clearmask.com. I just put them on my 86 944 turbo and my father just put them on his 96 targa. Good stuff and they send you everything you need.
