Default Window Switches?

Been a while since I've been on Rennlist. So I'm getting ready for summer driving, and BOTH of my automatic window switches need to be replaced. Where is a good place to get these? I would prefer them to be new but I'll buy used if the price is right-- anyone have spares? I really don't know how much these are going for. I guess I'll check eBay first.

My signature has apparently disappeared. I have an '88 944 S, so I need the late model type. (with the arrows)

BTW, how do you know you need two switches? Does your driver side window still work? I ask because for the passenger side, you can have a failure where loss of one switch causes the whole circuit to fail.

FYI...

My passenger side window would only go up from the passenger side and then stopped working all together. Removed...cleaned...installed both passenger and driver side switches and they both work great now.

Try to just clean the contacts inside the switch and then put a lil dielectric grease on the contacts...

That's all it took to get mine to work.

Correct, do some searching in the archives and you'll find photo's showing how to disassemble the switches and clean the contacts.

Yeah, I did that. Originally, the problem was only one switch. I forget exactly what happened (This was a while ago), but in the process of testing things I think the working one broke as well. I did the step by step thread and all I remember is deciding that I just need new switches.

As obvious as that is, I don't think I did. Thanks, I'll check it out.
