Anybody resealed their Nipondesso A/C compressor? There's a good write-up on Pelican's web site on how to do it. Mine has been leaking oil from between the 4 compressor housing sections, so I re-sealed with 3 new o-rings, and installed a new shaft seal while I was at it. The shaft seal kit came with a nice square cut o-ring, but the housing seal kit came with 3 round-cut o-rings that I noticed did not offer near as much compression as the square-cut one did. When I nitrogen pressure tested the system, I fould that it still leaked oil out of the seams in which I installed the round-cut o-rings. I want to get my hands on some additional square-cut o-rings that seem to provide a better seal. Anybody have a similar experience?

its all about AC system seal! if you are still using R-12 im not sure what you can run tho. I have R-134 or equivilent and i use system seals, its much harder and much more work replacing o rings and seals all the time. everytime you open it up it cost money in refrigerant.
Btw-all my o-rings came from a place in sweden, they were round cut, but never had a problem with them when i change out compressors

I'm still running good old R12 and mineral oil. What do you mean by AC system seal? Is this some kind of sealer you add to plug up leaks? Sounds a bit like sealer for cooling systems which is something I stay away from. Where did you get the seals that are from Sweden? Thanks.
