exactly as campeck said. the tongue is really a great moistener. it has many chemicals which really work their way deep into the dash. just remember to drink a gallon of water an hour or so before your scheduled cleaning and your good to go. Don't forget your tongue exercises!

seriously though i just use whatever is available on the market. Armorall(both spray and wipe)is a favorite, just search for something that is designed to protect and moisten your dash. i'll bet others have some ideas of what to look for. i keep it simple, but never forget to do my cleaning.

Make sure you use something non-glossy for the dash. If your dash becomes glossy or reflective, it can reflect sunlight onto back onto the windshield which will then reflect into your eyes. Dash glare can be blinding, so be careful.

Tongue exercises... heheh.

speaking of dashes, how do you get all the vent covers and trim peices off the dash?

You're just jealous that my 968 has a better dash than your GTI.

But my 944's dash has fault lines going through it.

I only fainted because of all the spray paint and I wasn't wearing a breath mask. I thought painting a dash on the sidewalk would provide enough ventilation, but apparently not.

Armorall is nasty stuff, more apt to help your dash crack rather than hinder, plus it looks terrible I think, I don't like the greasy look.
