O.T.: A fun drive
OK!
I went on an organised drive today with Queensland Street Scene. They are a non-organised club of car enthusiasts. It ended up with76 cars in convoy to Lake Tinaroo, about 80km away up the mountain. There were Silvias, Starions, Skylines, Golf GTI's, Fords, Holdens (GM), Hotrods, Dodges etc, + the obligatory P-cars [all two of us! The black 911 didn't go on the drive.]
The best way to show this is an online album.
Very nice people. No hooning. Good briefing before start. Check out the cop cars in the carpark before we left! They noted down all the regos before we got going.
Both p-cars were very popular and had their pics taken constantly.

Me thinks it was a Nissan Skyline.
When he left (was one of the organisers) he put his foot down and has serious boost probs. When the turbo goes on he loses all traction! Just sitting there with the rear wheels spinning. Could be expensive.
Was a good day. Considering I may have had the only stock standard car there. Coming home and trying to keep up with the C4S was even more fun!
