Default vacuum leak?

first post...first porsche

i have a 1984 porsche 944 i noticed a whistle while idling that goes away while throttling...it sounds like its coming from under the intake mani...how many vacuum lines run under there and am i going to have to remove the intake mani to check them?

Welcome to Rennlist. There should be a vacuum diagram label on the pass. side fender well just in front of the strut mount. That small diameter hard plastifc tubing running between rubber 'T''s break very easy. There is also a larger dia. rubber elbow on top off the oil air separator (OAS) that has a factory crimp; thes get loose as the rubber hardens from heat. If you don't have the label maybe this will help.

my question is my haynes says while removing the intake mani would need to depressurize the intake mani...can i get the manifold off without dismantling my fuel system?
