Permatex headlight restorer for fog lenses.... anyone try it?

Browsed around and saw this (StonGard Light Shields) on Paragon. Its specfically meant for the headlights and fogs..so figure its good. Best is its only $18 for the fog kit or the headlight kit. I figure its reasonably cheap insurance for new fog lenses at $75 a pop and the Cibie e-codes at $60 a pop.
