Default lifter noise

I searched and couldn't find teh exact anwser I was looking for. I hear a tricking sound coming from the #4 cylinder/spark plug area. its not to loud when cold but when the engine is warm its more noticable when I am iding.the sound goes away after 2K RPM and doesn't come back until idle again. What could it be. Car is a 90 S2 with 156K, oil pressure is 5 bar cold and 2-3 bar when iding. Also when crusing its 4-4.5 bar. Funny thing is I let of the gas and oil pressure goes up a little bit(Goes from 4 bar to 4.2-4.5 bar)

That had me kinda wierded out for a while about mine doing it also, 'til I asked about it. The Caterpillar engine in my truck does it too.

Have you ever had your injectors serviced? I was amazed after having Witchhunter clean/rebuild them that the noisy 'lifters' on my 951 were silenced. It doesn't explain the oil pressure change but I find all Porsche and BMW injectors pretty noisy compared to most Japanese cars I've owned.
