Default Fixing Ignition Switch/Ignition Lock!

This is a little weird, but last Friday (right before I went to work, no less, grrr) I ran an arrand to a local Kinkos and back to my house real quick, but when I turned the car off at my house and tried to remove the key, the whole ignition lock came out!

It doesn't seem to be broken or anything, it just came out. Now, I don't want to have to tow it to the ONE locksmith who says he can put it back in permanantly, so if I could get it in once to start the car it would be great.

Any ideas how to go about getting this thing back in place?

there should be a small locking spring that keeps the lock cylinder in the housing.
did that come out with the lock?

It looks like the housing came out too, I can see the spring in it though.

Here's a pic:

I don't see the spring. Should look like a little leaf spring along the side of the cylinder - the side not in your picture, IIRC.

Ahh well, in that case, how do I go about fixing it?
