Default Engine Rattle

I just picked my car up from the shop where the balance shaft mount was replaced. While the jpb was being done the timing belt, blance shaft belt and idler rollers were replaced. My question is, what are the chances the rattle is the timing belt needing to be retensiioned? I picked the car up on thursday, drove it 160 miles the next morning to a DE where I drove it for about 100 minutes around a track and then another 160 miles home. I have about 400 miles and change on it now.

A loose timing belt sounds more like a light knock than a rattle.

A rattle is probably something else. When did you last check your cam chain and tensioner pads?

If you haven't, I'd have the car towed to a shop. S heads are getting expensive.

I replaced the cam tensioner pad about 600 miles ago and the chain looked fine. The car seems to run great i just hear a metallic rattle.

I did lose a screw off my air cleaner box. It sounds far fetched but is there any way that could have gotten someplace to cause a rattle?
