Scary night = stupid porsche idea!!!!
First off I was driving my car tonight and it was running great. Pulled up to a light were a gas station was and smelled a lot of raw fuel. I thought wow, I hope that isn't my car. Well I shrugged it off, until I pulled in the garage. Then I thought wow that is very strong smelling still. I poped the hood and nothing, all is dry and good. I smelled the fuel rail and it didn't realy smell. Then I walked towards the passenger side front fender and geez it reaked. Then I ran up stairs and grabbed my mag light and looked under the car and there is a small puddle forming on the ground. I look down the wheel well and I can see on the side were it had sprayed. So I pushed the car outside and got some bottled water to wash the fuel down the wheel well. I recently had issues with the fuel lines so I just replaced them and now they are leaking at a different place. Why did Porsche put the stupid lines right next to the header GEEZ . Anyways I will check it out tomarow and find out if it was something dumb I did or the lines. I am just happy my baby was not burnt up.

richard, just think you need to crank down on the fitting again. did you splice the one side inside the fender well? My stainless lines require some checking and tightening from time to time - they especially needed to be retightened about 6 months after they were first installed.

Hey Joe, unfortunately that is not the case. Mine seperated completely at the compression fitting. It all still looks fine but once it was started there was a water fall. Needless to say the company is going to get a phone call on Monday. BTW, anyone no how to get the compression fitting off the hard line.
75, I don't want to tell the companies name until I see how things go with the call on monday and the fact that they have been extremely good to me in the past. Please everyone check your lines and make sure they are not seperating. This very easily could have cost me my car.

I have heard nothing but great things about Pauerman's lines. They are quite steep at $140, but for the safety factor I believe they are worth the price. I will be buying a set this summer for sure...

Regarding removing the fitting from the hard line, I suspect you are having a hard time removing the "cutting ring". This is not reusable. You need to cut off the hard line below the cutting ring and start over with a new one.
Oh, by the way, Voss specifically states in their assembly instructions that you should NOT use a tubing cutter to cut the hard lines if you are using their fittings.

The manufacturer I bought them from is awesome and is standing behind it. Thanks, just wanted to share so that others could watch out and not cause a fire. I did not want to cause trouble.

So clue us in here, are you using hard line adaptors and braid covered hose with reusable hose ends or what? Without naming names, is what you are installing similar to the replacement hoses Lindsey sells? Or is this an OE replacement hose set?

Similar to what Lindsey sells but they are rubber and I do not know whether the company still sells the ones I bought. I am sending my old lines back so that they can review them and find out what caused the failure.
